Cause it's a Jazz Thing

Beat is perfection. Flow is perfection. A damn good, well produced hiphop/jazz track has been crafted by new dutch artist Sotu The Traveller. Features Brooklyn rapper Gregg Green, who fits uniquely into Sotu's groove, riding the rich production as well as any hiphop release in 2007. Sotu's debut release has just come out on Appletree Records, a dutch record label featuring a roster of very exciting talent. Debut track is titled "Daydreams" off aptly titled "Daydreams EP". Oh yeah, and this be a JustAMoment Exclusive.

Let Her see that Fancy Footwork
Following on nicely from Surkin, is the new offering from Chromeo. I say this because there is a Surkin remix of this somewhere between his decks and our hands. Anyway, cute little lines over a dancey, light-electro-ey rhythm mean that it has become one of my most played over the last few days. The same goes for the Thomas Barford Remix which doubles the length of the track, and gives it a bit more attitude for a much dirtier feel.
Surkin remix to come hopefully.

Sounds Like....Ghetto Cut Dance
Probably my favourite artist coming out of france at the moment, bar SebastiAn. Surkin, who appears to be very young every time ive seen him, is set on racking up remix after remix, all of equally high quality. Signed to Institubes. And sure to revel in the limelight thats surrounding the french scene at the moment. For all of you who have missed it, i'm posting a french house minimix he did sometime last year, and probably my favourite track at the minute by him, a boyz noize rework.
Enjoy.

La Musique
Latest offering from Australian DJ duo Bennie Single and Joe Dickenson (formerly of Bang Gang Dj's). A slow chopsy intro slowly builds up until the 2.40 mark, where we're met by a whining female vocalist, who launches into a tirade of attitude driven, hard to decipher vocals. Strangely it works, and you can put money on the fact that when it drops in the club it'l bring more people to the floor (granted, mainly women), than it repels away.

Cre-e-e-e-eps

A lovely slow burning "haunted" house track from the maker of arguably last years greatest dancefloor filler. Stuck on Radio 1's playlist 5 weeks before its release on 1st March. Enjoy.

Perfection Mekanik

Bit of a wierd one to start on. But the song im about to post totally hits it on the nail. As if the original wasnt tasty enough, french industry demons Alex Gopher and Ettiene De Crecy have joined forces to at least quadruple the pleasure factor. Basically a 7 minute 42 second industrial techno romp, clearly designed to stimulate the most brutal of machines.
