Finding Forever Preview
My anticipation for this album grows and grows. Here i've got the track run down from the album preview showing in LA a while back. The day I can go to events like that is the day my life becomes complete. .
Until then I'l just have to be content reading other peoples reviews. Thanks to hmblog for this one..

Like they say, do you think this will be Commons best ever? Will he get those grammys ?

Child Rebel Soldier
In an interview with sohh, Lupe Fiasco has said that the track with Kanye and Pharrell on Kanye's recent Can't Tell Me Nothing Mixtape could be the start of a potential group project. The group will be called "CRS" standing for Child Rebel Soldier, don't, however get too excited as its unlikely we're going to hear any more material for some while yet, with Kanye's record coming out in August, Lupe working on his next offering (The Cool) due around Halloween time, and Pharrell is apparently in the studio, however working on what we do not know.
Regardless, the whole project should be one to look forward to. .

Back Of Beyond
Hospital Records (now on release 122) continue to stand at the front of the liquid scene. Latest release is the new Nu:Tone LP, titled "Back of Beyond". Packed with beats, soul and creativity it ensures Nu:tone continues to move upwards from his 2005 debut.
Standout track: System (Ft. Natalie Williams). Very big on the 1xtra playlist.
MP3: Nu:Tone - System (Ft. Natalie Williams) (Live @ 1xtra)
If you like it then I suggest the album which you can go and grab from the hospital records site, at the link which ive already given to you. . .

Even the minimum is maximum

After having wanted to upload the whole album due to the fact you gotta listen to the whole kaboodle to experience the original, heres a track off 'Dub Side of the Moon' basically a concept album remix of Dark side of the Moon by the Floyd.
Easy All Stars - Money.
Comment for more it's a wicked album.
Second track is off the soundtrack to Paris, Texas - a random film that came free with the newspaper. If you've never seen it, it's based in Texas about a girl called Paris. Former Bueno Vista Social Club member Ry Cooder and two other less important musicians (its true!) make up the entire soundtrack and it's all very similar in quality to this.
Ry Cooder - Dark Was the Night
Another track off Digitalism's debut album Idealism - doubt this will get much of a play but the start is crazy.

After 'Days to Come' was voted Best Album of 2006 by Gilles Peterson's listeners, Bonobo (Simon Green) still hasn't had much the way of recognition for being such a top musician. Most of his songs will grace your ears on an advert without you realising them drifing by. Apart from writing all these tunes he plays double bass, guitars & pianos!
First track is an instrumental of Walk in the Sky off the bonus instrumental disc.
Mp3: Bonobo - Walk In The Sky
Good for a chill.
Second is off Digitalism's debut album Idealistic. The German duo made up of Jens Moelle and Ismail Tuefekci. Expect to see them at any dance festival you're going to this year! Wicked track - makes you wanna go nuts - like a squirrel.
MP3:Digitalism - The Pulse
Formerly known as System F, Ferry Corsten has risen through the ranks of trance djs. His new album is wicked buy it if you fancy yourself a raver. Or try this for size instead. Catch him at Global Gathering this year! I know I will.
MP3: Ferry Corsten - Sublime
Scratch Perverts new album 'Watch the Ride' is another quality turntable demonstration. Best S.P song on the album.

Kanye West video due to appear sometime soon, premier was just the other night, see the stills here.
Brand new track from Little Brother appeared yesterday. First track off what appears to be a new album, titled " Get Back". Production by Illmind. Get it here (direct link) from Jesuspiece.
Latest track from T.I's new album "T.I Vs. T.I.P" appeared with a guest spot from Jay-Z. People saying that he's going at wayne and Game on it. T.I. sounds pretty poor on it, and I only start to listen for Jay'z verse. I don't know whether the whole concept to the album with all this alter ego thing has gone to T.I's head so much that he's neglecting the rapping duties. We'l see. Get the track here..
Mp3: T.I - Watch What You Say (Ft. Jay-Z) (Thanks To Nahright)
Best ive heard from Jay-Z in a lonnng time.
Live version of a new track from 50 Cent's new album has appeared from a concert the other week. Featuring Robin Thicke, it's kind of smooth. I'd put money on it being a huge hit for him. 50's also landed the part of a drug dealer in a new film "Righteous Kill" where he'l perform alongside veterans De Niro and Al Pacino. Will he hack it?

How it should be
Lately i've been on a mad drum and bass roll. . .Of the soulful kind of course. Best thing I've found to date is this guy called Mutt. I'm now well on my way to grabbing his whole discography..
When he goes live he further seperates himself from the rest of the pack by playing with a live Jazz musician named Davis James.
Heres his promomix for the summer complete with jazz additions from davis james..

High Contrast has come up with the goods again, after already giving us one of the nicest liquid tracks of the year ("Everythings Different").. hes now giving us two more. Diane Charlemagne on one side for the soul, and on the other, Pink Flamingos for the dancefloors.

Something I Almost Forgot
Lil'Wayne. I admit, i used to think he was wack, i couldnt get by with his voice and he seemed just another average joe from the south. But then as time went on, i started to wonder why the hype around him hadn't died down, like past experiences suggested it should do. So i checked him out again...
MP3: Lil Wayne - All Alone
And i'm still pretty happy that i did go back and check.. Otherwise I'd still be missing tracks such as this.. If you dont listen to the words usually, dont bother listening.
MP3: Lil Wayne - Something You Forgot
Off his latest mixtape, "Tha Carter III Sessions", which honestly puts other rappers mixtapes to shame.. Some say he's gone too soft with some of the tracks, I say he's got it just right. He wants that girl pretty bad.. rumours continue to fly as to who it is directed at, but its not Trina, maybe Nivea. One of my favourite hiphop tracks of 07 so far. someone let me know what the sample is..
Look out for the new wayne material sure to appear soon.. mixtapes with Juelz Santana / The Game and plenty more tracks which were supposed to go on the new album are set to appear on the new weezyavelli mixtape..2cd. He works hard. See Still-Listen for more details..

Finally Bittersweet...
International Players Athem - UGK (Ft. Outkast)
Video's all ove the internet at the moment, but i just can't get that andre3000 verse out of my head.
Now,
Ages ago there were rumours of Kanye West doing some work with John Mayer.. it then came about that the track was called "Bittersweet", Late Registration came, yet the track never appeared.. Kanye then slated it for release on "Graduation", and yesterday, finally, it appeared. Both completely nail it lyrically.
Link from JesusPiece

And purely because I found this earlier and had never heard it before... so unless I missed it the first time round, here's the Japanese bonus track off "Late Registration".

Month Of May

Here's everything else from May.
For any Jazz fans, or those who want to try something new.. heard this on Gilles Peterson's Southport Weekender Set, and immediately tracked it down to jazzanova's Sonar Kollektiv imprint. You'l most likely know the original "Strings of Life" by Derrick May, if not by the name then definitely by the sound. Artist name of "Christian Prommers Drum Lesson", not quite sure what exactly that means or where it comes from.. However a great latin/jazz number which is always building and moving.
For more Information on him and the chance to listen to his first 12" which includes the said track... Go to Sonarkollektiv Here. Available for purchase for around 60 pence.
Thought I'd share the original as well.
MP3: Derrick May - Strings of Life (87 Unreleased Mix)
Also.. for a brilliant jazz set...
MP3: Gilles Peterson Live at southport Weekender (127MB) (Sendspace Link)
(No tracklistings for it as of yet.. but if anyone particularly wants them, comment me and i'l post them up)
Another one from Axwell proving that he's one of the nicest house producers around at the moment. Following on from his "I Found U" remake, which has been one of my favourite tracks over the last few months.. himself and Swedish Mafia labelmate Sebastian Ingrosso, along with Salem El Fakir have created another brilliant anthem for the summer titled "It's True". No idea about release date etc at moment... but i'l keep you posted. Here's a rip I was given:
MP3: Axwell/Sebastian Ingrosso/Salem El Fakir - It's True (Rip)
Collie Buddz - Come Around. Posted the video a while back, but never shared the track.Still can't stop playing it.Background information and video of the single.. here
Definitely grab the album if you like this track..
Collie Buddz Site

MP3: Collie Buddz - Come Around (Album Version)
Sebastien Leger with a pryda style electronic monster. Getting a lot of plays from the likes of Prydz, Tong, Angello etc.. This is on one of his latest 12" with the other side being "Pluton", if you check his myspace player there seems to be a bit of a theme developing.
Sebastien Leger Myspace
Purchase other releases at Juno.
MP3: Sebastien Leger - Saturn (Original Mix)
Probably the newest Q-Tip I own. Hopefully his new album will be coming soon after all the record label disputes about previous material being too "un-commercial". Something about this that keeps making me go back.. production from RZA (who is currently working on a new Wu-Tang release).
MP3: RZA - Just A Little Dude (Who dat Ovah there) (Ft. Q-Tip, Free Murder)
As far as drum&Bass goes, my favourite release this month has been the new LP out on Hospital Records by Nu:Tone. Titled "Back of Beyond". If you like your drum and bass in any shape or form i suggest you go get it at the Hospital Records Shop. Also an ideal place to start if you want to get into the genre.
Can't share any of it right now as its still out only on promo..
Other choice drum and bass tunes of the last couple of weeks..
From my favourite drum n bass artist at the moment, giving all of his tunes the right amount of soul.. Alix Perez.
MP3: Alix Perez - Inner Blues (Myspace Rip)
Still on the Dizzee Rascal bandwagon.. Chase And Status' Siren Remix..
MP3: Dizzee Rascal - Sirens (Chase & Status Remix)
Lastly, back to the beginning with some London Elektricity off the album Power Ballads (2005).
MP3: London Elektricity - Hanging Rock
Thats all I can manage right about now. Enjoy it. .

Maths & English
.jpg)
1. World Outside
"World outside of the Hood and I want you to see it". Pretty self explanatory meaning to the song, he got his big break because of music and discovered this "new world", and now he just wants others to get this chance.
2. Pussyhole (Oldskool)
One of the original leaked tracks using a sample from Rob Base and DJ E-Z Rock’s “It Takes Two”. Dizzee proceeds to give his take on the rivalries which litter East London, a popular subject among artists of the grime scene, yet never before has it sounded so fresh.
3. Sirens
The first single to be taken from the album, again he rides a beat similar to "Pussyhole's", this time taking us through then UK class system. Towards the end of the track it gets increasingly harder to follow Dizzee's flow as it is serially encroached by the nu-metal guitars which become more and more involved as the song progresses. Clearly Dizzee has something which he feels pretty strongly about here, and the track is the perfect stage for him to deliver it. Goes best when watched with the video, in which Dizzee is chased through dark streetlight streets by a band of blood hungry fox hunters. See it here.
4. Where's Da G's? (Ft. Bun B & Pimp C)
One of the nicest beats on the album. Low key track compared to the previous two, however he's still got things to get off his chest. Flanked by UGK, Dizzee shouts out all the fakes in the scene, asking them "Where's Da G's? Where's Da Stars? Where's Da whips? Wheres Da cars?" before the anthemic hook "Too many mugs on the tv, how many real crooks on the tv? All I hear is dead hooks on the tv, being real these days ain't easy". Favourite track so far.
5. Paranoid
"f-ck my girl I know she's cheating, that goldigger bitch just thieving, act like i dont care but I'm grieving"
Perhaps a look at the downside of fame..
6. Suck My D-ck
A skit? Not entirely sure..
7. Flex
"I wanna see you dip, and let me see you rock..."Forgotten are the serious opening tracks.. Garage music was born out of a sound called 2 step, here Dizzee brings it back with some glorious club music. You'l see what I mean when you listen.. you'l be smiling just like I was, as well as probably busting a move or two. . "Gosh, Golly My Oh My I'm hoping you aint looking at any other guy, Your figure is so pleasing to the eye, especially when you do the bogle or butterfly".. The lyrics are there, but the delivery is...huge.
8. Da Feeling
Shy Fx on production, the topic of Summer.. Another one for the clubs. Going to Ibiza, get the hummer out.. apparently. Another nice track.
9. Bubbles
"Nike air bubbles on my feet looking fresh, and my brand new gwahms on, dress to impress" This track passed me by the first time, probably because I was still trying to hold myself back from going back to Flex.. however on second and third listens, the addictive synthing bassline will have you going back to this one also. Subject wise, isn't going to stay in your mind but i'm sure he doesn't intend it to.
10. Excuse Me Please
Saw him perform this on Jools Holland the other week. . Video's around the site somewhere.. Serious sound again as he complains about modern day living. Very nice track, but strangely I think i prefered it live.
11. Hardback (Industry)
How to play it in the music industry.. Huge pounding drums provide a bed for his crash guide to surviving. .
"And another thing..Buy a house before you buy a car/don't tell no one where you are/even better if your far/ everybody knows your gangster and that porsche looks great/ but do you want it sitting in your council estate"
12. Temptation (Ft. Alex Turner)
A reversal of the track arctic monkeys used for their b side to brainstorm. I'm not sure how this goes with just leaving alex turner on the chorus.. feels almost a bit disjointed. But I love dizzee's verses - the temptations that we face as teenagers. Beats a bit weak really.
13. Wanna Be (Ft. Lily Allen)
Haha. Firstly, Lily Allen might start to grate eventually, like pretty soon. Apparently its a Bugsy Malone sample, but never having seen it, I couldn't tell you what. As a private school girl, the taunt "Your mum buys your bling" seems a bit of a joke, however with Dizzee telling any rivals to "go home, have a cup of tea, watch Corrie" it makes out for an enjoyable listen. At least for now.
14. U Can't Tell Me Nuffing
Grime.. He hasn't moved on just yet from the scene that made him.. And a track which proves how good an MC he actually is.
It is clear that he is no longer the anxious, fidgety youth that we saw on Boy In Da Corner who kept it strictly grime. A brilliant album in which he manages to dash between the good times and the bad times without ruining the flow. Favourite of 2007 so far. Just pinches it off Wiley.
Both albums out on Monday.. grab them at HMV.. Itunes.. Junodownload.. Amazon.
