Thank You and You're Welcome
Kanye West diversifying into literature. We'l wait and see. .
He says;
It's dope....10 bucks. I teamed up with co-author J. Sakiya Sandifer to make my literary debut with Thank You And You're Welcome!, an entertaining volume of "Kanye-isms "-- the creative, humorous and insightful philosophies and anecdotes used in creating my path to success. It captures the same wit, playful irony, and piercing insight found abundant in my lyrics. In Thank You And You're Welcome! I deliver my personal message uncensored, without any five-second delay or media distortion.

Tha Carter III Leak
The Carter III isn't coming on the 18th December, but The Carter III: Leak is. And you have to admit, the amount that is appearing on the internet from him these days is astounding. . But yeah, MTV has more, and look out for the video for 'gossip' appearing in the next few weeks.

Didnt really feel the first hour as much this week.. despite Quantic and the Latin inputs, the quantic album being one at the top of my current wishlist. American Gangster PREVIEWS
Seen on XXLmag.com . . 30 Second clips of all the tracks due on American Gangster. Ignorant Shit sounds even better than it did when I first heard it. . And thats an improvement on one of my favourite Jay-z tracks of all time. Party Life stands out, as does the one every ones talking about: No Hook. I also hear some Wayne in there.. Too easy to judge an album on snippets these days, and I hate doing it, but from what i can hear its going to be a huge improvement on Kc, at the very least.
Its all here.

Innerground Music's Masterplan will finally hit the internet today. Well worth checking out if you like drum and Bass - three of the best soulful tipped tunes i've heard all year and the CABLE tune is slightly harder in a pleasant way. Dubstep to Look forward to..
Yup. New album from mystery man Burial due in November, and as an added bonus, Dj Pinch is also adding the finishing touches to his latest project Underwater Dancehall. Both are due in early November, Burial's on the 6th, and Pinch on the 2nd.
I planned a post on Dubstep a long time ago, some really nice tunes have come out lately - really developing the sound. . Nialler9 has(d) some brilliant tunes up a while ago. Here. Particularly check the Bushida tune.
Following the news today of the new Burial album 'Untrue' nialler9 has a preview of the album mixed by fellow dubsteppers kode9, as well as a bit more detail on the release. Here.

All about Daft Punk
Keep it short..
Daft Punk were drafted in to do the music at the Louis Vuitton show a week or two back - see video above. And if you like it enough, discobelle has the audio.
Daft Punk are releasing an album of inspiration and samples titled 'Discovered' on November 6th.
And if you can't make it to any of Daft Punks live shows, you will soon be able to bring the live show to you with 'Daft Punk Alive 2007 Lp' out November 20th.
Can these guys even produce anymore? I'm puzzled. .

Lets see how they deal with this one..
Nigga, is to be the name of the next LP from Nas. . Due to come in December of this year. . We'l see what happens from here, although theres sure to be some form of debate raging somewhere as to the suitability of the name.
Greatest Hits, is slated for release on November 6th, with a video for new single 'surviving the times' hitting the internet soon - after its been filmed. Going to be a extremely busy fourth quarter for him if he is yet to have started recording as reports suggest.

High Contrast Essential Mix 06/10

On the back of his new album, 'tough guys don't dance', High Contrast was at Radio 1 on saturday night to give us another essential mix. Old school drum and bass fans will remember the quality of his first, others will just have to go and find it. But here's the new one.. Heck of a lot of dubs.

More on American Gangster
Yeah, much more comprehensive run through thrown together by the Popwatch Blog, information from Jay's first listening session..
MORE HERE
- "Pray": American Gangster's first cut, one of several produced by none other than Sean "Diddy" Combs — whom Jay still calls "Puffy," harkening back to days long past when both were members of the late Notorious B.I.G.'s circle. "[The album] starts with a kid looking into the game," Jay explained. The beat slams ominously behind his scene-setting rhymes: "Mindstate of a gangster from the '40s/Meets the business mind of Motown's Berry Gordy."
- "No Hook": Another wide-screen Puff production, full of dark organ vibes, and more rhymes from an aspiring kingpin's perspective: "F---rich, let's get wealthy/Who else gon' feed we?" The mood is sneering, hungry, with Jay almost seeming to slip into his long-abandoned double-time flow at times.
- "Roc Boys": "That's him at his height," Jay said of his persona in this song. "It's a celebration of the whole s---." Exultant horns burst out on the beat (Puffy again) as the rapper revels in a lifestyle funded by ill-gotten riches: "First of all, I wanna thank my connect/The most important person, with all due respect/...Think rosé/Think O.J./I get away with murder when I sling yey'." (The song also includes a reference to "black bar mitzvahs." Maybe that "L'chaim" was even more significant than I realized.)

Kanye x Murukami Jewellery
From Pitchfork,
Kanye revealed the news of his jewelry line to WWD.com (Women's Wear Daily's website, via Jezebel) at a Givenchy fashion show in Paris on Wednesday, October 3.
He was sitting front row at the show and sporting a "huge gold Manga-style diamond-studded pendant," which he designed with the help of Graduation cover artist Takashi Murakami. The chain is a prototype for the forthcoming collection, but West made sure to mention that the pieces in the actual line will be "more accessible. They won't be all diamonds."
True to his "my flaws are part of my perfection" form, Kanye also revealed that the prototype's "eyes are not perfectly done. Murakami cringes when he sees the eyes."

Something for Techno..
Apologise to the lack of posts been a bit busy..
In the latest RA magazine theres a particularly good interview with Techno supremo Henrik Schwarz about what he's up to at the moment... I've let my electronic side slip this summer but any releases by him, Ame or Dixon are always on my listening list. Keep up to date with him at his myspace.
Read the interview here.
