this bullion remix effort for amadou & mariam's damon albarn assisted 'Ce N'est Pas Bon' deserves a lot more talk than it has got. certainly in the circles i rotate in anyway.
Maybe I missed the buzz.
Maybe I'm going to single handedly kickstart it.
Listen to it at One Handed Music's soundcloud. .

I'll point you in the right direction but I'm certainly not going to try and put my spin on the information. That would just be self important.

potential to shut down raves . like fwd riddim did back when I was 14.
One day we need to hear the story behind this from the man himself. It's amazing the power it holds can be contained in a .mp3

. . should sit together more often than they currently do.
Dbridge's nonplus+ label is on 002. And this collaboration with Instra:mental is a little bit special.
if one were boomkat, they may label it a 'Killer 12"'
but this time, it really is - for what my opinions are worth.
my next goal is to hear this on a suitable system
SO. listen to tramma/watching you at the myspace
then show the colour of your money at boomkat. simple.

Don't I lace you with the Gucci?
Mario can't believe why she'd leave him when he's providing all those names.
Gucciman drops a ' x bus come at once ' metaphore that tails off into noise.
Bangladesh takes a load of parts that shouldn't really fit together, has a play, and makes a hit. Possibly another of the pioneers of sparse next generation r&b.

Basic Space
Let me add my name to the list of people who endorse the XX and their debut package. (bravo Young Turks) - Listened to the album for the first time last night, and despite forgetting it was on a few times (seriously LO-FI), I was, on the whole thoroughly captivated by their sound.
album's certaintly got longevity. And their is plenty of space for the band to grow and explore this hybrid of r&b/indie they have developed.
the video is of the debut single 'Basic Space' which should be out September time complete with some remixes. preferably not by rusko or caspa. that would be bait.

09's hiphop IT boy eat's this beat.
I enjoy a large amount of his music. But I can accept it if you all want to hate him for whatever reasons -
But, I don't buy anything about these guys ruining hiphop. They're making this, but they aren't stopping anyone else from making that.

Hood Love
When it comes down to it, I've no idea about 'Hood Love'. I've never seen it, never given it, never received it.
certainly never had to put my boxcutter in my sock.
But it's (the old) Preeeemo on the beat, and Royce and Bun are pretty articulate in describing the notion - so I think I'm gonna run with it.

NDM Vol.4: Songs of the Human Imagination
Finally back with Volume 4.After an educationally enforced hiatus from my preferred past time of chasing down producers.
brought to you by Singing Statues who have drifted effortlessly across blogs, playlists and the like for many weeks now. I know little about them, except that they are affiliated with recent upstart Sunless Records, and that they make beautiful earthly music. I don't particularly feel the need to know any more.
But I guess this tells us a little bit more...
MP3: Vol.4 : Singing Statues - Songs of the Human Imagination
(Zshare)
Efdemin - Technicolour
Talvihorros - Snow Globe
Coil - The Last Amethys Deceiver
David Sylvian - Weathered Wall
Singing Statues - The Fourth World
Fennesz & Ryuichi Sakamoto - Glow
Radiohead - Harry Patch (In Memory Of)
really opened my ears for this one. Wouldn't be where my efforts are usually focused but came away feeling particularly creative. Thankyou to Singing Statues for another beautiful addition to the series. . .

Guaranteed.
Taken from Dj Spinna's Sonic Smash. Which was my purchase of the day. Yet to listen properly.
but clear, notable performances from Phonte + Yazharah (this track), John Robinson and . . . yeah Elzhi. Who'd have thought it?
Phonte can do no wrong.
Album will probably enhance your life
fun
growth of a sound.
16 tracks from senior of the Klipm0de family - devonwho.
I've had a listen to a few tracks I've been exposed to - and it's fire. But a more refined sense of fun and colour than was inherent in his previous tapes. hahaha - maturity?
I hope these guys never grow up.
well worth the $10 / £6.073 you need to part with. On bandcamp. Or if physical is your thing, you need to hit the homepage - klipmo.de and hunt the paypal link.
(as I've recently mentioned..) so happy these guys have got some things sorted (a strategy, a website. . a klique ) far too talented to sit in obscurity.
live your dreams

Coporate Personality
Back from corporateness.
I may have looked like you guys on the outside. Suited. Stern-faced. Shiny shoes. but inside..aided by my headphones. . . .it was going off. Yes. In the Client Express.
MP3: Omar - It's So
- - - -
And can I also draw your attention to some of the new Zed Bias plates that Benji B has in his record case. . . . Particularly the one in the said Deviation link. . . Lethal. An Omar vocal on that sounds good right?
Don't come to carnival if it isnt in your arsenal.
Producers
This series is also worthy of a mention. Fat City are releasing a series of 7 inches with producers taking a side each - not an incredible concept in itself - but the quality of output has been very high.
Low Limit. Dibiase. Mike Slott. Dabyre.
Now, Mono/Poly & Illumsphere.
I gather there is one more to come too.
The links alll allow you to get some samples.
