Cosmix!

retweeting this from nutstosoup

A Funkineven & Mr. Wonderful collaborative mix going by the name Cosmix! A pun...?

70's, 80's & those who are bringing it back today.

Investigate.

There are a couple of cuts on this that refuse to leave my headspace. *discogs spree*

krystalklearboogie

a genre captured seamlessly. it's been hard to ignore krystal klear's recent rise onto radio playlists.

'Tried For Your Love' has been a star of the last 3 deviation shows, and the groove has had me going to the soundcloud/myspace player intermittently throughout the week. The other tunes at the myspace show it isn't going to be a one off either...

... particularly 'Never Thought I Would Go' which has got me feeling nostalgic about an age I never saw. I'd hate to imagine what it would do to a veteran of that time. Powerful music.

I hassled for a soundcloud to use as embeddable proof. . .

Click go... and sail off to an era you know, or one you don't.

In his own words, 'the time to dance is returning' . . .

Thinking is the Enemy.

a nice article by the NYtimes photo blog on my long time favourite photographer Boogie.

No need for any of us to come up with an arty quip or a haiku or anything like that - just flick photo to photo and let the reactions come naturally. As one of the comments says, maybe pay attention to where each photo is shot. NY, Belgrade, Naples - there is darkness everywhere.

original wax pressings

I'm starting to love damon a little bit more. Not only does he have super deep crates, he also isn't on that power trip about hoarding the gems to himself. He also wears a vest sometimes when he dj's. A bruce willis vest.

Everywhere I'm turning, I'm hearing good things about him. clearly musics most likeable guy right now.?.

& the music. .

the recent Stones Throw release from him made me a little bit hungry.

BUT this Stussy X Stones Throw mix has caused famish status chez moi. TRACKLISTING.

I need all I can get of this sound.

Stone Love

I'd never have to have meddled with the likes of ableton if I grew up with the likes of Kashif.

Sao Paulo

Born in Belgrade Serbia, street photographer Boogie possesses a rare talent for documenting the human condition. His black and white photographs capture the character and the inhabitants of some of the most tumultuous cities in the world. Traditionally photojournalism focuses more on content--recording a moment or an event-- and less upon formal concerns. However, Boogie gracefully integrates both a documentarian's eye with a finely honed artistic sensibility. Many of his images are at once deeply poignant, and totally unsettling. Boogie's work has taken him from Serbia, to Cuba and throughout South America. SAO PAULO features his remarkable impressions from one of Brazil's poorest and most troubled urban metropolises.
