Ethiopium (2)

After giving Oh No's Ethiopium the run around my ipod for much of my trip to the continent, I can comfortably say that it more than lives up to its turkish predecessor. It's going to sound so good on a system.

If I had the money I'd be tracking Oh No down right now and commissioning a round the world trip to translate each nations sound into universal hiphop dialect. Any social entrepreneurs reading - hook the brother up.

Digital is available now.... with physical (CD et Vinyl) November 1st.

Note, we should all applaud the Stones Throw management for their constantly evolving approach to marketing. You won't believe this one even if I told you... but i'll be grabbing a bag.

Ethiopium

I want to take this project to Addis when its complete. See what they make of it.

Oh No's Oxperiment was and has remained a heavy album.

more recently you've probably heard his work with Mos - Pistola & Supermagic off 'The Ecstatic'.

And if your a curious type you might have found a track or two with Stacy Epps.

Mos Def Live In Paris

Just came across this from his current tour.. New stuff sounds good. And as always, he dresses to the point.

New album said to drop in February, and thanks to the StonesThrow Messageboard.. I've come across some evidence leading me to believe that there will be some production by Madlib/Oh No. As well as Kanye.

Here's a snippet from a recent gig in Toronto. . Very short and not great quality but theres something about him put with Madlib. Can't place the beat however?
