Acid Bells

If theres one thing I pride myself on its my ability to spot a martyn release early.

This time Belgium label Curle have given his remixes of Efdemin's 'Acid Bells' a home on wax. The idea sounds very Tech House, but the finished product is definitely the signature Martyn sound. Well the '(Dark Mix)' is.

The '(Bittersweet Mix)' has been created in the same vein as 'Bridge' off the LP. Piano. And slightly more subdued 'Acid Bells' knocking away in the background.

I don't think this will bowl many people over, but again. . consistency and quality etc. . . [Usual Martyn blurb]

Listen to the tracks on his Myspace.

Cop at Juno.

Also big him up for last nights guestmix on Gilles Peterson. He played some funky!

And apparently he smashed Deviation last night.

All in all, I imagine he's in a good place right now.
