Messages (AJ Refix)

Vikter needs some new press shots. I almost used his Dj Kicks cover - but the coat is too much.

MP3: Critical Point - Messages (Aaron Jerome ReFix) (REUP)

But enough. Here, Aaron Jerome not only opens my eyes to an original that had completely passed me when, or where ever it came out , but he also gives it a huge kick into the present. So much in fact, that it sounds like it's come custom built for certain corners of the Rinse roster. .

I also thank the man for putting me onto the said DJkicks - THE NEPA ALLSTARS TRACK.

You probably can't not like this.

EDIT: Props to Beatnick for just dropping it on Rinse.

NDM Vol. 2: Masterplan

so i've finally got round to finding a suitable follow-up to floatingpoints Volume 1...

You should already know about Aaron Jerome - purveyor of a fine, fine album and has consistently produced remixes of even more consistent quality.

big big plans are taking shape for 2009 - so see this as a perfect (re)- introduction to a man your sure to be hearing a lot of over the coming months/years

Twice

would be stupid not to jump on this. Aaron Jerome on the remix of swedish outfit Little Dragon.

He also has a load of projects in the works. . with each one sounding rather interesting. Particularly work with Mr. Paul Randolph for Especial & a spellbinding remix for Future Loop Foundation. Theres also some fps goodness in there --> see the explosion below.

But back to the present, pick up the vinyl from usual suspects. but for ease of access, today I will again choose Juno.

Hustling at 02:42.

Goodnight.

12 of the Weeek

Big sound coming from Streathams Scrimshire - been on the Aaron Jerome remix 'Warm Sound' for longer than a minute. . The vocal arrangement of the original 'Warm Sound' (big big big big tune) kills me everytime. AJ's remix is minimal. But equally beautiful.

And of course the flip is tasty too - 'When The World Was Young pt. 2 '.

Big shout to scrimshire - definitely someone you (and I) should be keeping tabs on. By email.

Get on it @ Juno. Or any of the usual stockists.

N.B ..... The original 'Warm Sound' can also be got digitally on Itunes. :)

downtempo brilliance

i'm a bit under the weather at the moment so i apologise for the sporadic posts.. hopefully soon back to normal. Theres always music however, and recently, none greater than this.. finally making me smile by bursting on to juno the other day. Ft. vocals from Mozez and Kathrin Deboer - the dancing girl EP is sure to throw this talented producer/dj/musician from the unknown into the light. . Signed to BBE, he probably couldn't be in a better place for it. Check his myspace for details on whats next, or what u may have missed. And news on what is sure to be a very exciting debut album..

Remix Action

Aaron Jerome and Daisuke Tanabe have just come off a productive remix swap. Daisuke brought some more electronics to AJ and Yunguns "Late Night" (get you a date as soon as I get it myself), while AJ puts in a remix on "Station".
Both artists you want to be watching this year..
