beauty from all angles.

I always try and look at 'r&b' in a different way to how it's presented in the charts.

but only as far as disecting the instrumental or plotting what hudmo beats i'd like to see chris brown ride.

thoughts and dreams that are knocked sideways into lameness by this.

Oli Chang's cinematic remix of Beyonce's Naughty Girl

MP3: Beyonce - Naughty Girl (Oli Chang's Cinematic Remix)

thanks to amelia + all the others who, like me, are probably having their listening schedules run by this right now.

Mothersuck Bugs Bunny

New 'Fest. You ever watch one of those back in the heyday cartoons like Tom&Jerry and think - WTF?! How they got away with the picaninnies and sambos is crazy. That's not to say the shows weren't crazy themeselves. I am a cartoonhead. Shout out to Hanna-Barbera. Sick video. Sick concept. Konee Rok behind the lens. Rhymefests' El Che out Spring 2010.

Happy Birthday

Today just happens to be the happy born day of one of Nobodydancenomore's cronies - a certain Izzo Kambal. As I watched him blow out the candles of his cake, I heard what he wished - a mellow birthday for a laidback boy. So without further delay, here's some mellow...

Dope

Due to rising levels of weak punchlines and pun crime Nobodydancenomore brings you a treasure of a freestyle.

While we're at it...

Menuet Antique

I'm not going to pretend to be an expert on classical & say this particular rendition is superior to any others. just beautiful though.

Exam seasons got to see the move to serious music.

Maurice Ravel

U R Not Uma Thurman.

Oh. Wow.  Who knew Wiley would vocal instrumentals like this?

This is essentially why no-one comes close.

True story. I play the OG before I go out sometimes. All the time.

History

Roots x Mos Def x Talib Kweli x Dilla

LDN015

deep and swinging. it may be too early to call it but I feel this may be one of the favourite things keysound have put out. Sully - who if Dusk&Blackdown are to be believed - is just getting started on releasing a whole slew of mindblowers.

Out sooon. . .

drum pattern & hi hats so rare

respect to Rapid for making something grime-y yet accessible. Track's called 'Go Rapid', the beat(S) are deep and he deserves some appreciation for his hustle.

Album most likely coming SOON.

FlashingLights

WA6

the next 30 days are going to be a lot if you're a follower of uk electronic music. make sure you pick up what you need though, cause late december - early january is dead as far as releases go.  I know I will need  multiple things to tide me over.

The above video is one of the records I will be purchasing before the year is out. Harry Craze (Antisocial) on deep medi. Out tomorrow. The A side 'WA6' is absolutely beautiful. can't be denied whether your into this sound or not.

I'd do it all again.

another amazing performance courtesy of the Jools Holland outlet.

This time..Corinne Bailey Rae.

drunk013

Run Away

Late. but even if I only wake one of you upto this talent I'll have done my job.

Georgia Anne Muldrow from the early days.

Get it now, via CdBaby.

tutto il resto è noia

Franco Califano.

brilliantly epic whatever time of the day you listen, recently reminded of it by this film  (big up bbc4) -

N.B. it doesn't sound as good unless the recording is crackling a little.

I.e. don't get duped into buying a studio version on itunes and then wondering where the warped emotion has gone. .

blurring the lines

Joy Orbison's remix of Four Tet's 'Love Cry'

definitely worth the effort whoever performed the gilles peterson rip.

the sound that sits snugly between all the other sounds that I like.

'I'm making beaucoup money'

I really don't know what to expect from Adam Bhala-Lough's look into the life of Weezy, but I guess it's safe to say there will be a fair load of quotables that you won't find anyplace else.

It might be worth a watch purely for that.

Out November 17th.

'them man are gass on telly'

Boy Better Know. a hit. a hit. a hit. whether you like it or not.

one for the lager louts. but it works, I wish the to and fro staccatto at the end went on for longer though.

*no serious state of grime/crossover talk here*
