I Wanna Know

I still bump this record religiously. Someone needs to book them this side of the river. Sharpish...

Guaranteed.

Taken from Dj Spinna's Sonic Smash. Which was my purchase of the day. Yet to listen properly.

but clear, notable performances from Phonte + Yazharah (this track), John Robinson and . . . yeah Elzhi. Who'd have thought it?

Phonte can do no wrong.

Album will probably enhance your life

Guess Who?

firstly my long time fave Dwele with a tribute from his (not so) recent album. .

John Robinson, Phonte & Radar Ellis losing it for dilla. I still find it incredibly moving to see this type of event, to see what it really means to the artists. The passion from both sides. not often it comes together like this.

Perfect way to wake up . & you just know what i'm going to be bumping for the next 24.

Homage to Premier

to king of the chops. .

MP3: Focus... - Homage To Premier (Ft. Royce Da 5'9, Phonte & Stat Quo)

Focus... = underrated.

Reminds me I haven't posted about luda/premier - MVP. . .!

Foreign Exchange

I'd scream like a bitch to get this live show to the UK.

the videos a bit long, and theres some inaudible chatting in it. . but it kind of gives you an idea of how on point it would be.

The other news with these guys is that THEY'VE ONLY GONE AND DROPPED SOME VINYL

but go slowly on it because I haven't got round to purchasing it yet. And for the real real supporters. You can get signed from Nicolay's store.

And is it just me or did this not get any real limelight when it came out? Was I the only one to feel this?

Daykeeper

Sorry to go video after video, but, for a song that i've been listening to pretty much daily, I had to get it out of my system.

The (Foreign Exchange) album seems to be of an equally high standard, however i'm saying that without putting ear to it yet. I have been warned that the first listen should be via my best headphones and preferably at night. So just waiting for the right window.

Check it.

For Whom the bell tolls

This is crazy.

MP3: Evidence - For Whom The Bell Tolls (Ft. Phonte, Blu & Will.I.Am)
(zshare)

Prod. Khrysis.

Off of the Layover EP/DVD hitting November 25th.

Daykeeper

seriously beautiful track. . Muhsinah sounding absolutely gorgeous, Phonte slightly less so but he's holding his own.

get it free from the web-site.

Foreign Exchange - Leave It All Behind

FE-LIAB-2

For those that don't know, Foreign Exhange is Phonte from Little Brother + producer Nicolay.

The first album was created over the Atlantic, and was still a classic. Now that Nicolay has moved stateside it will be interesting to see what they can cook up from inside the same studio. Maybe they both need their own space and it'l be a flop?

And can Phonte actually sing? We'l see.

details on the project look set to filter through over the next few weeks, so keep your eyes open.

So fresh, I could fuck her off my outfit

To keep you tiding over until tomorow when I'l give you some 'mid'-week ones.

MP3: Playaz Circle - Paper Chasers (Ft. Phonte)

Check the video ici.

Pictures jacked from fader. Fly dont you think...?

Playaz Circle - Paper Chaser/ We Working

Been hearing some real dunces hating on Phonte cause he's singing here. . ??? Explain.

The song i'm liking comes in after the *street* bizzness at the start.
