Travelin' Girl

Dwele needs to do one of these every week. forget every month (as he suggests on the video blurb. . ) &

is that his house?!!

when I roll up, better have my cup

everyone just wants villa manifesto to drop now.

Spiritual

Dwele does no wrong regardless of what sex you are.

Guess Who?

firstly my long time fave Dwele with a tribute from his (not so) recent album. .

John Robinson, Phonte & Radar Ellis losing it for dilla. I still find it incredibly moving to see this type of event, to see what it really means to the artists. The passion from both sides. not often it comes together like this.

Perfect way to wake up . & you just know what i'm going to be bumping for the next 24.

I'm the hancock for neo-soul

Dwele @ Temple Bar

I remember the days when you had to sign up to be on a mailing list.

Thankyou NerdwithSwag.com - more like this and you can sign me up for a 100 more.

Another late swipe. . .

This time MichiganHipHop interview Dwele. .

Lazyyyyyyy.

Sketches of A Man

Really been enjoying this the past few days. . one for the late nights on the headphones.

Lot of 1 minute little 'demo's' (if you will..) scattered between the tracks, really makes the album flow. . almost effortlessly. I'm still playing Subject now, after 5 years. . I'm getting the same type of feelings when I listen to this as I did back then. .

Pretty essential addition in my eyes.

Flashing Lights (3)

Version 3. . Still prefer version 2 at this end.

But ain't too happy that dwele gets no shine in any of them.

I'm Cheating

Dwele Album Sampler

'Sketches of a man' - June 24th.

R & B Midweek Sixes

Back again.

MP3: Ryan Leslie - Just Right
on his every word at the moment. . This is taken from his 2005 album. Crazy production - anyone holding an instru? Album sooon.

MP3: Dwele - I'm Cheatin'
brannnnd new music from dwele. Admittedly not on the level of some previous material but who cares. . It's a start. Album coming sooon too.

MP3: Sy Smith - The Art Of You
Soul new for '08. . . Taken from her (do the research) third album . Very very highly recommended . Thankyou thankyou Susan.

MP3: Q- Tip - I Believe (Ft. D'Angelo)
possibly the greatest find from the recent digging i've been doing. . days after a fellow on Okayplayer said he had finally tracked down d'angelo in a US jazz bar. . I find this. the two knocked up the track stupidly quickly, but it doesn't show. Heres to a d'angelo comeback, and to me finding the actual mixtape this came from. Honestly, i could sing the praises for this alllll day.

MP3: Steph Jones - LaLa Means Love
get over the knucklehead promo-ing his mixtape at the start, and its onto a winner. Will try to find a CDQ, but bump this until then.

Honestly. . some real brilliance here - download them all. Let me know if i've missed anything, and get digging yourselves. .

More Common On Kanye

Rip of another track off "Finding Forever" due July 17th. Kanye on a verse too. This is the full version not the snippet that was out around superbowl time. Album should be amazing, so far confirmed guests include Lilly allen, Bilal, Dwele and of course Kanye.

MP3: Common - Southside (Ft. Kanye West)(Rip)

And seeing as i seem to be warming more and more to dwele's sound.. Here's a rarity i particularly like on a J dilla beat (i think).. feel good soul.

MP3: Dwele - Dime Piece (Remix)
