Even the minimum is maximum

After having wanted to upload the whole album due to the fact you gotta listen to the whole kaboodle to experience the original, heres a track off 'Dub Side of the Moon' basically a concept album remix of Dark side of the Moon by the Floyd.
Easy All Stars - Money.

Comment for more it's a wicked album.

Second track is off the soundtrack to Paris, Texas - a random film that came free with the newspaper. If you've never seen it, it's based in Texas about a girl called Paris. Former Bueno Vista Social Club member Ry Cooder and two other less important musicians (its true!) make up the entire soundtrack and it's all very similar in quality to this.
Ry Cooder - Dark Was the Night

Another track off Digitalism's debut album Idealism - doubt this will get much of a play but the start is crazy.
Digitalism - Anything New

Pogo

New Digitalism Video. Just as hot as the song.

Wrapping up of April..Pt. 2

Other stuff i've been enjoying, but haven't had the time to let you know about it.. in other words, my most played..

My stevie wonder track of the moment.."Another Star".

MP3: Stevie Wonder - Another Star

I love Buzzin Fly record label. This song is probably my favourite to come from them, off the 2005 release "Outspoken Part 1". It's by Ben Watt (half of Everything but The Girl), with guest vocals from Estelle. Keep checking the website for new releases, or catch up on what you've missed from the label at beatport. Its summertime house with soul...

MP3 - Ben Watt - Pop A Cap in Yo Ass (Ft. Estelle) (Edit) Highly Highly Recommended.

In case You missed me going on about it before, make sure you set aside a tenner to buy Wiley's new album "Playtime Is Over"... Out June 2nd. Promo track and track by track album review, here. Boy can that guy spit....

Total Science (See Post Coming), Matrix / Futurebound have both been big on my most played list this month, but as far as drum and bass goes.. the month belongs to a track i was passed a while ago but it just passed me by. The original, i must admit, isnt a favourite of mine, mainly because Ghostface's rapping voice doesn't sit with me, but for the summer, Ne-Yo's voice sits perfectly on the bed provided by DJ Marky&Bungle. Watch out for both of these two...

MP3: Ghostface Killah & Ne-Yo - Back Like Dat (DJ Marky & Bungle Remix)

As far as Drum and Bass goes, also check out Alix Perez.. for the soulful side... Should hear about him pretty soon from me. .

That pretty much wraps up what I can share.. excluding.. album previews below.. but here are other tracks you should be checking out...

• Groove Armada - Paris (Off Album "Soundboy Rock")
• Mr Hudson & The Library - Ask The Dj (Off Album "A tale of Two Cities")
• Kano - Kidz With Gunz Freestyle ( Off " The Mixtape") Here.

• For a fix of soul...Shaun Escoffery - Days Like This (DJ SPinna Remix) Stay tuned. Should be appearing.

• Anything Calvin Harris touches.. Simply on fire. Plenty of Calvin stuff on the blog. So search.

• Anything by Up and coming house producer Steve Porter. See the latest BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix.

Spring To Summer Cuts

I don't think i'l ever get tired of this groove. Bob Sinclar's Remix- mellowing out the original and leaving it with enough funk to get the foot tapping, but stopping short of the point where you start move busting. One of my favourite dance tunes of all time.

MP3: Stardust - Music Sounds Better With You (Bob Sinclar Remix)

And while we're on the subject of songs to see out the summer with. . you can't go wrong with any of the stuff Future Jazz artist Quantic makes. Several albums of his available. . here
A favourite of mine..featuring female vocalist Alice Russel.

MP3: Quantic - Mishaps Happening

And, something completely different and unrelated. Because its rather good. The Shins.

MP3: The Shins - Australia (Live On The Tonight Show)

Other things I'd like to point you towards..

Digitalism Promo Mix on Discobelle, Here.
New Timbaland/Jay-Z/Timberlake Track also at Discobelle, Here.

Or maybe you'd like Two more Kissy Sell Out Bootlegs, also at...Discobelle, Here and Here.

Last thing.. HipHop tuesday was cancelled. Mainly because the only hot thing to come out has been the new timbaland track already mentioned..

I'm Back.

And have music to share.

Firstly, indie-pop band "Ghosts" - - (Myspace) - - debut single "Stay the Night" has been working its way around my head alll week. While just another of a current bombardment of soft indie offerings, it certainly has something which sets it apart from the rest.

MP3: Ghosts - Stay The Night

Brand New Dizzee Rascalllllll...
Nothing more do i need to say. Roll on the new album - "Maths and English" EDIT: The dizzee tune is marked. Mp3 is off the radar unfortunately. However YOU can listen here. Except for holllertronix. haha.

Guilty pleasure of the week has to be in the form of...... Space cowboys rework of Fergy and Ludacris On glamorous.

Heads up to Fluo Kids for this. Hit the link for the mp3's.

Digitalism's New EP has also surfaced. Loving the single, but just as much, i'm loving the mentalism's remix of it. Straight off the EP. Screwing the vocals about and thumping all over the place. P.s can't seem to find where these mentalism guys/girls reside. but make sure you cop the ep. probably best to do it over at Phonica.

MP3: Digitalism - Pogo (Mentalism Remix)

Other areas for checking:

Appletree Records (Who brought you Sotu The Traveller, see previous posts) - combined with DJ Sp to create a series of mixes aptly titled "Apple Tree Smoothies. Volume 1 is available for Free Download from the site. I seriously recommend copping it. Brilliant mix of soul, funk, hiphop and Jazz.

British electro hotshot, Kissy Sell Out, has also been big with me this week. Bags of potential, with already one 12" in circulation, and currently working on an album...i am lovvvvvving his work. His podomatic site gives a number of free mixes for download as well as some damn good bootleg remixes he's done. Make sure you dont sleep on him. HERE.

Be posting much more regularly now. Hope you enjoy and seee you soon.
